Nuts! WWII skirmish rules

After browsing through a bunch of game systems for WWII, I finally settled my choice on Nuts! by Two Hour Wargames. I downloaded the PDF rulebook and it looks like an awesome system. It appears to blend a few RPG elements (campaigns, character advancement, reaction rolls) into a miniature wargame. It also contains army lists for Germany, USSR, USA and UK, including armor. Here’s the description of the game from the THW website:

NUTS!*
The Game of Man to Man Combat in WW 2
NUTS! (*) General Anthony McAuliffe - US Army Bastogne, Belgium December 22nd 1944Half your squad is pinned down from light machine gun fire and two of your men are wounded and screaming for help. Another one of your guys is “hunkered down” behind that wall and isn’t moving anytime soon. All hell’s breaking loose around you and everyone is looking to you for answers. Right about now you’re wondering what the heck you’ve gotten yourself into. Welcome to the world of “NUTS!”"NUTS!” starts off in 1944 Europe and covers squad to platoon size actions. Trenches (25-28mm)

I always wanted to make trenches for miniature gaming. I spent some time last year making trenches from foam, filler, sand, PVA glue, balsa wood. Considering that I would be needing many trenches to cover my gaming table, I decided to make RTV molds to crank up a number of these trenches. I just recently added corner pieces to my trench set. Next plan is to use them for a game of Mordheim or Necromunda. These trenches would also be nice to play a WWII skirmish, if we finally settle on a WWII gaming system!

Progress on 15mm buildings

15mm_house1.jpgHouse 1bI started painting a few of the buildings. I’m trying different paint schemes. It is hard to decide which one I will settle on. Maybe pick 2 or 3 schemes for different buildings? I have some trouble getting the old plaster & brick look. I’ll have to experiment with colors! :-) BTW, any help / advices / tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Cult of the Possessed: 2 Mutants

2 Mutants (Back)2 Mutants (Front)I painted these two Mutants for my Possessed warband last year.

Scorpion has a scorpion tail, one extra arm, and Scale Sheer Surfaces. He’s quite good once he gets in melee but has only been credited with 2 kills in 6 games…
Pustule
has Black Blood and Sprint. He looks like a potentiel threat to an enemy but hasn’t done much so far in my games!
