Planning a Bloodbowl league - Choosing teams

BBlogo

I’d like to eventually start a BloodBowl league in our group with four teams. I played a bit of BB a long time ago. It was fun but I never played enough to be satisfied. The desire to play again was buried deep inside me! :-) Recently, I downloaded the latest Living Rulebook from SG website. I soon started to make my own BloodBowl field. The pitch is now ready! Therefore, I can start planning the league…

I need four different teams… balanced teams! I ask on the BB forum and, after a few replies from fellow gamers, I settled on these teams: Humans, Orcs, Elves (Pro), Skavens.

Bloodbowl pitch / field is ready for action!

I finally managed to finish the bloodbowl pitch I started in last April! I was about done the BB field in May but I got sidetracked by a million other things… The fact our group hasn’t decided on starting a BB league yet certainly helps delaying this project completion… Now it’s done. I will be trying to coerce my buddies into starting a BB league (or at least play a few stand-alone games!).

Time for a few pictures:

Bloodbowl pitch with lines

BB pitch with linesCustom line painter!

I made some progress on my BB pitch. You can see lines delimiting the play zones on the picture below. I made this little painting tool from a dremel polishing bit to paint my lines. It turns out okay. After taking these pictures, I drybrushed the entire board with a light grey and started putting ballast & scatter material around the field. More pictures in a few days (if I don’t get sidetracked!)…

Bloodbowl Pitch

Another new project: building a portable Bloodbowl pitch. I’m using Hirst Arts blocks, extruded foam, and acrylic paint so far.
